Bite Into Hudson Restaurant Week

Hudson Restaurant Week

Hudson Restaurant Week started yesterday July 28 and will run until August 8th. Having first started in January of 2005, Hudson Restaurant Week is celebrating its tenth year of promoting Hudson County’s excellent and ever growing restaurant scene. Held bi-annually in the months of January and July, Hudson Restaurant Week began as a way to draw patrons to Hudson County restaurants when business was generally slow. Now over forty restaurants are participating, and this year brings five new ones to the list—Batello (Jersey City), Crab House (Edgewater), Hoboken Gourmet Company (Hoboken), and KP Sarelli’s (Bayonne).

The way Hudson Restaurant Week works is that each participating restaurant puts together a prix-fixe Lunch and Dinner Menu—Appetizer, Entree, and Dessert at a fixed price (view menus here). The price does not include beverages, tax or tip, but for three course meals, the prices are pretty great. Also keep in mind that each restaurant may have different participating days on which the prix-fixe menu is available. Given that you are limited to certain days and the turnout might be large, it’s in your best interest to make a reservation which can be done on the Hudson Restaurant Week website.

This is a great way to take advantage of the amazing food options Hudson County has to offer. Hudson Restaurant Week is an opportunity to try something different without having to break the bank and like all great meals, enjoy the company of our closest friends and family.
