La Femme offers spa services for people on the go
La Femme European Day Spa, a Hoboken staple for the last 27 years, has found a new home on the fourth floor of the Monroe Center, and The Digest staff is excited to have them as our office neighbors. To celebrate their Grand Opening on Friday, May 2, the spa is offering 20% off all services.
Digest photographer Olya and I stopped by last week to check out the space, and I got to experience what La Femme offers first-hand with a 20 minute express facial. I was a little nervous at first, as I’m a spa treatment rookie with sensitive skin, but beauty therapist Vicky Xristina immediately made me feel at ease.
The best part about La Femme is that the Hoboken spa caters to men and women who are on-the-go. Services are designed to fit into your lunch break, or to pass the time while your kids are at My Gym on the third floor of the Monroe Center. And even though these services are expedited, you’ll still notice the results days later. My skin was clear and glowing for nearly a week after the treatment thanks to Vicky’s method. She cleaned and toned my skin with feel-good oils like lavender to relax my skin and my mind. She then infused my face and neck three separate times with vitamins to give me a deep cellular renewal, which is something she says you won’t get from any other express facial. I didn’t just get a fresh face — I also noticed a difference in my mood and boost in energy.
The experienced staff members at La Femme take pride in all the relaxation treatments they offer, as well as hair removal services. With summer fast approaching, now is a good time to start trying their waxing treatments.
