Grab A Bottle Of Cabernet, It’s National Drink Wine Day

by Lauren Scrudato

Find a corkscrew and grab that bottle of wine that’s been sitting on your kitchen counter because today is National Drink Wine Day. And we’ve outlined why drinking wine is the best choice out of all the 05f42881f04f6c46f85c27b0d0166986alcoholic beverage options:

You can make cute crafts from the bottle.

Cork wreaths, table tops, ornaments, picture frames– the list of adorable home decor you can make from corks is never ending. And while you collect handfuls of corks, you can paint or mold the bottles themselves to make even more crafts. The fun never stops.

You’ll feel healthy while drinking.

After doing some research, it seems like one or two glasses of wine a day can keep you looking young and healthy for eternity. I may have exaggerated a bit, but health professionals actually do say moderate wine consumption helps prevent heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancers, mainly due to resveratrol which is found in red grape skins.

It never gets old.

You’ll never get sick of drinking wine because there are so many types and varieties – white, red, blush, sparkling, dessert – and each can be paired perfectly with your meal.

It makes you feel classy.

You don’t drink wine when you plan on having a rowdy night filled with questionable decisions and an all-day hangover the next day. Having a wine night with your girls makes you feel sophisticated, and instead of stumbling around at a party, the worst thing wine will do to you is have you telling people how much you love them.

So even though its only Tuesday, we give you permission to have an extra glass or two and embrace those purple wine lips in honor of National Drink Wine Day.
